Enzyme PRO™ works with nature to assist with the breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, greases and other organic compounds. It does this by boosting the activity of naturally occurring micro-organisms present, to degrade the target substrate into harmless biomass, carbon dioxide and water.
How Enzyme PRO™ works
Enzyme PRO™ does not rely solely on bacteria or enzymes to work. Rather it is a sophisticated blend of naturally occurring and fermented products, essential nutrients and surfactants that stimulate the growth of naturally occurring bacteria which digest or breakdown the target substrate.
Enzyme PRO™ uses a number of mechanisms to digest and breakdown the target substrate:
Surfactants breakdown fats, greases and oils rendering into a more favourable state for further digestion and breakdown.
Enzymes assist in the digestion and breakdown of the target substrates. A complex blend of the enzymes proteases, lipases and amylases are used for this.
Enzyme PRO™ presents a favourable nutrient solution to stimulate the growth of naturally occurring micro-organisms.
The synergistic effect of the above, result in the safe digestion or organic substrates and the elimination of offensive odours Enzyme PRO™ does not contain any bacteria.
Why use Enzyme PRO™
Any organic material such as a waste stream will be teeming with bacteria that thrive in that particular environment. What inhibits the bacteria from more rapidly degrading the substrate is lack of readily available nutrients that can stimulate their growth and thereby speed up the natural degradation of the substrate. Enzyme PRO™ works by providing a package of essential nutrients that kick starts or accelerates the natural biological processes. Enzyme PRO™ does not require activation – in effect it is an activating agent working directly on the micro-organisms naturally present on the target substrate.
It is designed to discharge down the drain where the formula will continue with the breakdown of fat, oil or grease waste.

Enzyme PRO™ has been approved by MAF (NZ) for use in food preparation areas for odour control and surface cleaning in kitchens, restaurants, hospitals, hotels and other institutions.
